A research explains why some people have difficulty remembering people’s names
It has happened to everyone not to remember the name of a person, maybe that has just been presented with you. A study by the University of Manchester that published the data in the journal Cerebral Cortex, analyzed about 40 patients suffering from severe forms of epilepsy, to which an area of the brain was removed to reduce the manifestations of epileptic seizures. They were then asked to recognize the faces of some famous people with the request to express the emotional state they were feeling at that time.
The study stated that the subjects who had undergone an operation in the left anterior lobe had difficulty in verbal expression of the semantic memory, while the group that had had the exportation of the right side instead had difficulty in the visual recognition of the famous person.
